This notice explains what IT Biz Support Limited does with personal information collected through this website. It is written to be read, not to protect us — if anything here is unclear, ask and we will explain it plainly.

Who we are

IT Biz Support Limited is the data controller for information collected through this website. We are registered in England and Wales, company number 08845673, at Unit 60, Cressex Enterprise Centre, Lincoln Road, Cressex Business Park, High Wycombe HP12 3RL.

For anything about your data, contact info@itbizsupport.co.uk or call 020 3393 0973.

What we collect, and why

There is one form on this website. If you do not use it, we collect nothing about you beyond the standard server records described further down.

WhatWhy we need it
Your nameSo we know who we are replying to
Company nameTo understand the context of the enquiry
Email addressTo reply to you
Phone number (optional)To call you back if that is easier
Number of IT users (optional)To size a sensible answer before we speak
Your message (optional)To answer the question you actually asked
Your IP address and the time of submission Recorded automatically with the enquiry, to block automated spam

Our lawful basis

We handle enquiry details on the basis of legitimate interests — responding to someone who has deliberately contacted us about our services — and, where you are asking about buying from us, taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.

We do not rely on consent for enquiries, because you have asked us to get in touch. That also means we do not add you to a mailing list: we reply to your enquiry and nothing else. If you would like marketing from us, you have to ask.

The one thing we do rely on consent for is the Google Analytics cookie described below. That is a separate, optional choice and it has no bearing on how we handle an enquiry.

What we will not do

Who else sees it

Your enquiry is emailed to our own mailbox and stored on our web host's server. That means two categories of third party are involved, both acting on our instructions as processors:

We do not use advertising networks or tracking pixels on this site.

Google Analytics

If — and only if — you agree when asked, we use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. Nothing is stored until you consent, and declining changes nothing about how the site works.

Where you have consented, Google LLC acts as our processor. The data it collects is limited to usage measurement: pages viewed, roughly where in the world the visit came from, and what kind of device it was. We have not enabled Google's advertising features, so it is not used for remarketing or ad personalisation.

Our lawful basis for the analytics cookie itself is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time from our cookie policy. Analytics data may be processed outside the UK, including in the United States, under the safeguards described under Where your data is held below.

Google Fonts

This site loads two typefaces from Google's font service. To deliver them, your browser makes a request to Google, which necessarily discloses your IP address to Google. No cookie is set by this and we receive no data from it, but we mention it because it is the one request this site makes to a third party.

How long we keep it

Where your data is held

Our hosting and email are provided within the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area. Where any provider processes data outside that area — which includes Google Analytics, where you have consented to it — we rely on UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement to protect it.

How we protect it

The website is served over HTTPS, so what you type into the form is encrypted in transit. Access to enquiry records is restricted to the people who need it to reply to you. We are an IT security business, and we apply to our own systems the controls we recommend to clients.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:

Email info@itbizsupport.co.uk and we will respond within one month. There is no charge.

If you are not happy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes

If we change how we handle personal data we will update this page and change the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will say so here rather than making it quietly.
